How the Budget Meal Generator Works
This calculator searches our database of 20+ budget recipes and finds one that fits within your per-person budget. Here's what happens:
- We divide your total budget by the number of people to get a per-person allowance.
- We filter recipes by the selected meal type (if chosen).
- We find recipes where the cost per serving fits within your per-person budget.
- A matching recipe is displayed with total cost, cost per serving, and a link to the full recipe.
If your budget is very tight, we'll show you the most affordable option available, even if it slightly exceeds your target.
